Step 1: Boiling the Pasta Properly

Take a big pan and fill it with enough water to boil the pasta. Add a pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon of oil. Once the water starts boiling, put the bow tie pasta in it. Let it boil for 8 to 10 minutes or till it becomes soft but not too soft. It should still hold its shape and not break. Once done, strain the pasta and keep it aside. You can wash it with cold water so it doesn’t stick to each other.

Step 2: Preparing the Veggie Masala

Take a wide pan or kadhai. Heat the oil or butter on a low flame. Add chopped garlic and let it fry for a few seconds. Now add chopped onions and cook till they become soft and a little golden. After that, add chopped tomatoes and cook till they melt and become thick. Then put in the capsicum and corn. Stir well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Don’t overcook it – we want the veggies to stay a little crunchy.

Step 3: Mixing Pasta and Flavors

Now it’s time to add the boiled pasta to this veggie mix. Add salt, black pepper, chilli flakes, and oregano or herbs. Mix everything slowly so the pasta doesn’t break. Let it cook together for 2 to 3 minutes on a low flame. If it looks dry, you can sprinkle a little water. The pasta should soak all the flavors and become a little juicy. Turn off the gas and cover the lid for a minute so the smell stays in.

Step 4: Serving It Fresh

Serve the pasta hot. You can eat it as is, or if you like, you can add some grated cheese on top. Even without cheese, the flavor is good enough to make you want more. Kids love this shape and taste, and it’s a great way to feed them some veggies too.

Some Tips to Make It Better

If you want to make this pasta more filling, you can add small pieces of boiled chicken or cooked sausage. For a more creamy taste, add 1 tablespoon of fresh cream at the end before switching off the flame. If you like tangy taste, squeeze a little lemon juice or use tomato ketchup in the veggie masala. All these small changes can give you different flavors with the same base.

Why Bow Tie Pasta Is a Good Choice

Bow Tie Pasta is also called farfalle. It is good because it holds sauces and masala well. The shape is fun, especially for kids. Also, it looks good when served in a plate. It cooks quickly, so you don’t have to wait much. It doesn’t break easily, so you can stir and mix it without worry. It is also light on the stomach if you don’t add too much oil or cream.

Store It or Pack for Lunch

If you have leftover pasta, store it in an airtight container. Keep it in fridge and it stays good for 1–2 days. You can reheat it in microwave or on gas with little water. This pasta is also good for lunch boxes. It doesn’t get soggy easily and stays tasty even after few hours. So, you can make it early morning and pack it for office or school.
